Blog post #3

The most exciting and interesting part in the book is Steven's brother getting leukemia. It put Steven's whole world upside down. Everything was normal, until this happened. He had good grades, and other things like that, but when he got leukemia, he just stopped caring. His grades went down and he didn't really pay attention to his teachers. Also, his parents are very quiet. His dad wouldn't tell Steven about what was happening to Jeffrey, and his mom is very sad about it. Jeffrey himself, can’t eat something as small as a tic tac without throwing up, he has to watch what he eats. He is very weak at sometimes, and can get bruised and hurt easily, but he seems to act normal.

  1. I wonder if a lot of students have issues -maybe not like THIS, but issues just the same- that affect them at school. Makes you wonder what some of those kids who don't have their homework done have to live with outside of school??
